The Planning Process

So as most of you know Joey and I are planning a trip to Australia in November. We have been searching and researching hotels, activities, flights, and beaches for weeks now and we finally somewhat figured out what we're doing.

We have decided to stay at a mediocre resort in Ellis Beach called Ellis Beach Bungalows. There are separate bungalows that are right on the beach so that's cool but the place itself is kind of....eh. The pool is kind of unfriendly looking but I wasn't planning on swimming in a pool. We want to stay here to enjoy all the crazy activties such as white water rafting, snorkelling, hiking, fishing (sport and big game...MARLIN!!!), and probably ATV and Horseback riding tours.

Then we will go to a little island that has a place for backpakcers. We're still debating on that though because it's a long way away (4 1/2 hour drive) from the main area we were going to be at, which is Cairns by the way.

No matter where we stay during the beginning of our vacation we are definitely topping it off with a relaxing 5 days and 4 nights at The Elandra Resort in Mission Beach. It is a luxury resort with amazing, beautiful rooms and a gorgeous pool with little day beds around it for the romantics. We are going to enjoy the sunday market and taste exotic fruits and nuts and all kinds of crazy foods. I'm so excited!

Joey bought a $1400 camera that he has been reading up on for a week now. He is determined to be a full fledged photographer by the time we get on the plane. So we'll have that plus he just ordered a waterproof camera cover for his other smaller camera for snorkelling and swimming and then we have my camera so there will be plenty of pictures for all to see when we get back.

We will leave here on the 4th to go to Dubai. Then we'll fly out on the 5th and since it's +1 day in Australia, we'll arrive on the 6th and stay until the 19th. I think two weeks is enough time to relax for once.
